Logically thinking, they should stack. After all, the easiest way to implement an inventory is to iterate through every slot and apply any effects there are every turn. And yea, if eyes stack, then why should regular artefacts be different? Quiet Eyes stack, probably because they only boost hero st...

That didn't help at all...

And combo artifacts still retain the effects of the normal artifacts they're made of.

Question(s) about HOMM3 Artifacts

Do the effects of regular artifacts stack on top of combo artifacts they're part of? Examples: Bow of the Sharpshooter (30) + Angel Feather Arrows (15) = 45 Cornucopia + Everpouring Vial of Mercury = 2 Mercury Elixir of Life (25+4) + Vial of Lifeblood (2) = 31 --- There's one stat boosting artifact ...

Also in Heroes III, boni are additive.

For example, lucky strike and deathblow on a base attack that would normally deal 200 damage would deal 600 damage then (200 + 200 +200). The tooltip says "double damage" but that's wrong and misleading.

Angels by far. Huge stats and constantly high damage output. Bone Dragons are the worst.

H5 looks best with its statues and ornates, the other ones are too cluttered.

BTW a Haven city called Necropolis?

Orc Chieftains aren't really durable. Piss poor defense and average HP for a Lv 3. On top of that, they're slow. For a shooter, damage is by far the most valuable stat but the difference between Marksmen and Chiefs is fairly small, 8 Atk and 3.5 damage vs. 6 Atk and 5 damage. I'd pick Marksmen if mo...

Its buy price is, guess, none . Relics cannot appear in Merchants.

I know, that's why I said Value. So it's market places as with resources, ok. Range is from 20% to 60%.

And no, I don't play online.

Just want to clarify that the artifact prices (both purchase and selling price) are affected by the number of towns you control, not by the number of artifact merchants. However, as with trading resources, there's a limit and it's 60% of the original artifact value. For example, a Spellbinder's Hat ...

Russian Heroes

Kinda misleading topic title but... :P I've been to quite a few Heroes fansites and noticed that there are probably more Russian than English sites. Just recently I d/l'ed a bunch of maps from maps4heroes.com and there seem to be many Russian contributors there. How come the HOMM series is so popula...

Old threat humpty bumpty? Anyway, besides nostalgia reasons, I don't see why someone would vote for I, it looks like the buildings were designed by the creators of the Tower of Babel. They don't match at all and the color choice of some buildings is disgusting. I would vote for V, its buildings are ...

Maybe next time you provide a screenshot of a map and put it in the ZIP folder, you should save it as .jpeg or something before. 2.4 MB pics are uncool :P
