No native builds for these games exist. However first five games and Swords of Xeen can be played with dos box (that emulates DOS environment). I just checked internet and read that Lenovo IdeaPad S10e resolution is 1024 x 576 px. Is that maximum resolution, that this laptop can offer? If yes, then I fear you won't be able to run HoMM, because it needs at least 800x600 resolution

I always fail the RAM test on Heroes 3 Installation .


This one? If you have a lot of RAM (IIRC 2GB) the installer overflows and sees your RAM size as negative. Obviously RAM test fails. Simply ignore it.

You can download some new portraits from http://modhomm3.free.fr/. Click on "Portraits" under "Heroes4" category in the list to the left. Although most of them don't look consistent with original HoMM IV portraits

I know. But for efficient testing players should also use ERA instead of old exes, because when someone creates a map/mod for ERA and an user tries to play it with 3.58f, the process of helping the user might become pretty painful.. Some people fail at installing it..

All new files are stored in the installer. During installation they are extracted and added to LOD with bitlib.exe. You may try install it in windows and copy h3bitmap.lod back to your game directory in linux.
