King´s Bounty Trailer and Shots
While the game seems like it could be a good game, I am unable to tell a whole lot about the inner workings of the game and how everything actually works. The skill system could be great...but could also suck. In all, I'll wait to be glad.

So basically you are saying that if something is pleasureable, that makes it good, and how dare we say that something that isn't pleasurable to our likes and dislikes is bad? Then all we have to do is wait for some one to come along and say, "hey, you like that? Well, it must not be that bad." After...

I believe I understand where our misunderstanding is coming from JJ. I don't believe having a nature, meaning an inclination towards doing good or doing evil, negates the ability of having sentience and freewill. How are they exclusive features? A sentient being can be inclined by their being toward...

That's complete and utter rubbish, and I hope you know it (and I find LotR boring without end). If there is no alternative or conscious decision things lose their meaning. Take predators. It's in their nature to kill prey - if they wouldn't do it they would die. They have no say in it and act on in...

What makes something "grey" so much more interesting than something black and white? A perfect example of good versus evil working and NOT being boring is Lord of the Rings. Clearly the orcs, uruk-hai, trolls, dragons are all inheriantly evil and never vary from that alignment. Likewise with the elv...

Yes, themes can be created without resorting to "the same creature with different steroids" as Kareeah put it so well. :tonguehands: And it is not boring to use an "old" method, as you put it, when that method allows more variety and spice to a game. Yes, HoMM II and III were far superior in that re...

On the one hand, there is something in teleporting them, but you could just as easily teleport the vampire lords there, and the question then becomes, which is more useful behind enemy lines, no retal or cleave? Especially as you deal with the upper tier shooters like Elder druids and what not that ...

It wasn't just the variety of creatures in each town, though I certainly appreciated that (though I'll admit, there wasn't any real logical reason for it), but there wasn't the cookie cutter layout of each town: each town as a shooter/spell caster priest type, each town has a low level shooter, each...

That was, indeed, one of the most disappointing points when I first saw HoMM V. What happened to the variety in each town? It's one thing to have a few orc type units, but why not harken back to the golden time in HoMM...when the creatures in a town truly helped create a unique playing style and fee...

I like most of the ideas here, most definitely. The banshee is especially exciting, as it makes them worth the money simply for another shooter. I am not sure about the vampire champions, though. Certainly no retaliation and teleporting outweight the cleave ability, at least in my book. And the skel...

I agree. I doubt there will be major changes to any appearances of creatures, aside from cosmetic aspects that are easily changed. That being said, I think Bahaa is trying to pull too much into the game from previous HoMM games that simply won't happen (mind you, I am not saying I would be opposed t...

Tribes of the East Announced
Aside from the possibilities of the alternatives, the thought that, if the "stand alone" part means we can now play all versions without switching discs is exciting...of course, given the track record, I believe that may be too much to hope for....

Why continue a senseless debate about what caused this company or that company to act this way or release a game this way? Isn't the knowledge about the cause necessary for finding a cure? Can we now move on to discussing how they are remedying the situation and if that is adequate to make the game...
