Just to drop a note that I haven't abandoned these map projects but I have done something I haven't done in over 6 years, made map for Heroes 3.
It's allied XL map with underground. Ideal for hotseat as I 've made teams 3 player versus 5, with latter being challenging computer players only. I plan to upload it to my site this week and I'm going to play it hopefully tomorrow with two buddies.

I've been doing an allied XL-map for HoMM IV.
It is three versus three and human players start with no town and have to amass an army from the dwellings. There are plenty AI boosts and challenging battles.
I try to get it uploaded to my site soon (likely during weekend).
