I WIN!!!
Whoo Hoo! I finally beat Veldrynus and recaptured my home town AND it actually played the Win Scenerio! All the Heroes stayed alive until their proper turn to die... and some kept getting let out of prison to fight again. One Barbarian turned up with 6K Bone Dragons - HAD to be a left over of the prior scripts - I had to cheet to kill that one but then I didn't let those Heroes visit any more "power ups" because they got way to many experiance points killing that army.
One Quest gate that was scripted to only allow armies with Scarlett or Tarmaskas present screwed up and let an army of Red creatures - NO HERO - in and screwed up one of the fun things I had planned. Then MY other heroes couldn't pass through the gate when I needed them, so I think I'll just change it to a Blue "Gotta visit the tent" type gate instead.
One Red Hero died and left behind ONE black dragon. That was kind of strange, but easy enough to kill it.
Just a few little nit picky things to fix and then someone ELSE can play it!!!

I THINK I've fixed all the main bugs. I just found a script that's not firing on all cylinders. I didn't really notice that all the parts of the story were not being displayed, but I was wondering why certain things were not being explained. Then I found the series of dialog boxes that only displayed every other message. That was flaky. I'll have to spot check that.

I've been pretty busy this week. I'll try to get that last set of scripts running by this weekend. It's not REALLY important, but it does tell you the two options of the way to get to the next objective... which you could figure out by yourself as there is no where else to go and most players can figure out Over ground or Under Ground - GO to the spot shown by the viewing thingy.

Thanks Rife!
Hope that you'll take a look at the new version. I think it really is better than the "Alpha Testing" maps were. I learned a lot going through the process. The main thing that I learned: Making a Campaign with 4 maps is 10 times harder than making 4 stand alone maps!
(BTW - When I finished the map testing and "killed the evil Vel" it was the Rife & Pitsu combination that won the final battle. Not Scar & Tar.)

I'll try to put on my flame retardent thick skin this time. Actually, although I got pretty frustrated with the nit picking that people did during the Alpha Testing, I DID fix almost everything they found as well as others.
I really need someone to play it on the Expert and higher levels as I have no idea how 'bad' it will be. Some of those scripts should make parts of the maps pretty difficult. The first one will be pretty Easy, it's just annoying trying to keep those peasants coming in.

I totally forgot to send Angelspit the Mini Maps for this. I went into the Editor this morning and got screenies of the maps and some of the different areas for each of the 4 seasonal maps. These pics are posted over in the Campfire in the "Test Season of War" thread - my shameless plug over where a few more folks might see it.
One For Vel
I hoped these cities turned out "Hellishly Vellish."
AND - FYI the Necromancer on the Left is Wimfrits. The Dark Knight on the Right is DeamienLucifer. *giggle*
