How do I place a Random Starting Hero?

How do I place a Random Starting Hero?

I want to start the player with no town, just a hero. How can I make the alignment of the hero "Player's Choice" (at the Create Menu)? I can place heroes that have preassigned alignment, but there is no Random Hero object to place. There is a strange thing called Entry Point, but that does not seem to work. Any help?
