H3 loss conditions

Unread postby verrilion » 21 Mar 2011, 11:23

I have HOMM3 complete, and do some mapmaking. In the game campaigns there are several levels (eg. oblivion's edge) where you need to keep several heroes alive and can lose in another way (eg. time expires). I want to do something like this on my map, butI can only set the loss conditions to either losing one specific hero or another loss condition. Is there any way that I can do this?

Short answer: no.

it might be possible to do this by editing the map file and manually writing the needed fields, but i don't think that anyone ever tried to do this.. Also it might be that there are certain checks built in the game's executable itself.
I guess no one has enough information about this.

Alternatively you can use WoG and ERM to check whether the hero is alive or dead, and if he's dead, make the player lose.

Yea, I think that losing a hero is a special loss condition that is omnipresent...

Also in H3 complete, how does one turn off the standard vistory condition?
