Heroes 3 - South Park - Must Read!

Unread postby FrankyIrish » 16 Nov 2008, 21:15

Sorry if you've seen this posted on the forum a million times before but for any of you south park fans out there, have you noticed The cartoon uses loads of the same and similar sound bites to those in HOMM 3?

It's odd I just noticed it recently, the most common one used is the sound you hear when you pick up a Coin/Experience treasure chest. :) thanks for reading

Maybe we should have a "random heroes I-IV related thoughts"-thread to keep such pointless remarks from having to have a thread of their own :D
This minor magical charm captures the viewer's attention and distra... ooo, pretty...

I heard one particular HoMM III sound bite in the TV show Farscape as well. For some reason I doubt a tv show would borrow such stuff from a video game, I suspect they have a common denominator.

I heard a sound from H2, the Medusa death scream, on some commercial once.

I think Heroes the show uses some HOMM4 sounds and music too.

That's funny you mention that, because me & my friend were watching south park the other day and noticed the same thing. Like ThunderTitan said, its probably that they got it from the same stock sound library. Another sound I hear often is the Dragon cry from Warcraft II. Anytime there's a dragon or something in an old cartoon.

ThunderTitan: "educate yourself fool"

Wow that almost made gramatical sense, congratulations. I would've thought understanding when to use a comma would be within your grasp after around 8200 posts. But hey it's ok maybe you just need a couple more thousand. Reach for the stars.
