H4 splitting armies

Unread postby the_critical_process » 09 Feb 2006, 02:15

I am seeing trouble with the army screen. After a couple of game months, my games will reach a point where all army screens have only one row of troop slots, making it impossible to ever split an army. Has anyone seen this? Is there a cure?

Going back to a previous save doesn't work. Once you progress to the problem "game date", it happens again.

Youve reached the maximum allowed number of armies(its nine). You need to loose one of them(asign all of the troops to another army).

It is eight, but you can squeez one more by using a caravan or diplomacy or necromancy.

Or pay 1000 gp and 10 wood to create additional slots! :devious:

I thought you could squeeze in an unlimited number that way.
Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?

I think that after nine creatures simply disappear. And caravans need to be maneged,or they disappear as well(this Im sure of).Heroes in caravans dont disappear, but cannot be deployed until an army slot becomes free.

Arriving Creatures:

From my experiences, if you already have the alloted amount of armies on the adventure map and a caravan arrives to a full-up castle, then the Caravan "Master" will hold your arriving caravan creatures until you open up a slot for them in your castle.

That sounds plausible.
