Heroes 3: Favorite Demoniac

Unread postby UndeadHalfOrc » 29 May 2008, 01:36

6 creature specialists out of 8...

Rashka sure has two odd secondary skills for being a might hero who doesn't even start with a spell book.

Pyre would be better if Ballistas were available in Inferno towns.

Tough choice.. I'd go for Rashka, although I'm not a big fan of Scholar. Nymus comes in second.

Voted Ignatius. Imps and familiars need additional bonuses more than any other creature listed here on this poll as Hero's special troops. Oh well, with the Grail constructed in Inferno, quantity really overcomes quality:
cheap cannon fodder by the hundreds if not thousands!

Picked Nymus. They're all quite bad really, no one shines. Nymus has okay speciality and having offense helps in making the most of Inferno's fast attack troops. An improtant factor is seven free skill slots and finally looks, which is what won her the title over Marius and Octavia.

Octavia claims second place by being a good courier. Money generation + scholar can't be bad.

Unfortunately Demoniacs have pretty poor starting skills across the board. Scouting? Scholar? Marius, Nymus, Ignatius and Pyre are okay on that front IMO. If he were there I'd pick Xeron, but as it is I'd go with Nymus.

Pyre for logistics, but as you guy said, they are awful, and maybe Nymus when I want a change... Sometimes I pick Rashka, just to see why a detest scholar.

Sorry, but I have to stick with non-campaign heroes on these polls :)

Yep. Buy you could do a poll with only the campaign heroes... I don't believe ESP but I foretell, that the winner will be Gelu :)

Or probably Tarnum - specialises in Offence, Ballistae, Enchanters, Sharpshooters, Armourer and Dragons :D

Indeed, my favorite campaign in HIV vanilla was the one with Wearjak and Tarnum, it has some real good moral lessons.

Muszka, good idea.

But Campaign heroes who are only "portraits" put over regular heroes (Oswald, Finneas) won't be included.

They won't really have a chance anyhow.

I voted Marius, just because of the Inferno's penchant for racking up large numbers of demons. It takes a little planning, but those pit lords can really start swelling your demon ranks, and Marius' specialty can really make this ability shine.

On a side note, I agree that the Inferno heroes -- especially the Heretics -- are pretty terrible overall.

Pick Octavia for obvious reasons.

Since all the heroes are so terrible, it's immediately the best option to pick Octavia, then use another hero from the Tavern.

I'm just curious: Does Marius' portrait seriously scare anybody else?

I'm not a great fan of might heroes, so I don't like them all.
But I think that Rashka (for speciality) win 1st place for me. Octavia (as supporting hero) was second.

hard choice. All are creature specialists which arnt THAT good. No skill spec like offense. I voted Nymus since it have good starting skill on advanced and it leaves more possibilities for skills you want. But if play inferno i rather pick herectic instead who most have good specs/skills.

Rashka looks the coolest.
