Combo Artifact Bonuses

Listed on that Genie site there are some combo artifact bonuses. How do you make them work? I used the map editor to place all of the body parts of legion right next to a castle and one guy, and as far as i can tell you can only equip 4 of them at a time. I also placed all 5 items in the hero backpack and that didn't do anything either. Is that specific to that Shadows of whatever release? I'm running Armageddon's blade.
