New Unique Campaign Underway

Unread postby ByteBandit » 06 May 2008, 08:17

All I can say is, you better dig up all your HoMM games and get all the Mods for them.. All of them but H5. The main character is'nt in H5 so there's no point in using that version. The first Campaign of it's kind!

Good idea, but I don't have H4, so I guess I'll never be able to finish your campaign :(

If you say that one more time, I'll buy you HoMM IV for your birthday and then proceed to slap you silly with it.

Brilliant! I can't wait.

Shame I lost my copy of H1 about a decade ago. :(

The campaign will span parts of AvLee, Enroth, Erathia and Axeoth. The first map is already completed. The HoMM1 map that is. The second one is one fourth done. And the story for the third one is being written while I complete the second map.
It took me a while to formulate the storyline. I will try and make the Heroe(s) carry over from one map to the other. HoMM1 rather limits you through the map editor, thus an extensive ReadMe file with the map. But the story flows better from there on.
You will need HoMM1, HoMMII, HoMM3(SoD), HoMM3(WoG), HoMMIV(Standard) and HoMMIV(WoW/Equilibrus) to fully enjoy the campaign from beginning to end. You could play each map individually of course, but it would be nice if you had all versions.
This is something I wanted to do for a long time now, so I thought I would start it going.
Good to see there would be an interest in this. I did'nt know if there would be or not.

I wonder what character it is.
And there was much rejoicing...

I won't give the character(s) away. The game campaign story is still kinda in development. But I have the primary idea formulated. How to make them all blend together is the tricky part. But it seems to be happening.

I put my bet in Sandro/Crag Hack the only participants who were present even in the Might and magic series. I was so mad when they took them out in H5 (or better said, they didn't implemented them)
As for the campaign.... I think it will be a big blow. I hope you still have my e-mail address, for testing purposes :)
