Red Dragon Evolution

Red Dragons.....when you want serious firepower, but just can't afford that extra sulfur - YET.

EDIT: I tried adding the H5 red dragon to the poll but I can't. Anyway is that a new monster to be added to a new expansion? Maybe that's why I didn't see it anywhere in the creature line ups. I just wanted people to know that not having H5 red dragon in there has nothing to do with my hatred of Ubisoft. If I saw it, I would have included it.

h2. it looks so much more royal, and imo dragons are one of the best-looking h2 creatures.

There is a red dragon in H5 ? I didn't know. I don't remember seeing one when I browsed the creatures line up. I don't have the game and only visit the old Heroes forum and M&M forum.

It is the alternative upgrade for the Shadow Dragon. This creature comes in TotE.

TotE will require us to redo most polls...

But the Red Dragon should have been included in the Black Dragon poll imo... it's always been associated with it.

I agree, and I also think that all human archers/crossbowmen should have been in the same poll. And Giants should have been included in the Titan poll (even though no one would have voted for them), but they have always been an important transition unit for the Wizard. Hey, they included Wolf Raiders in the Wolf poll, so why not?

The only ambiguous poll really is swordsmen/crusaders.

Ah, the joys of fan made polls, even with the omissions they have been fun.

The Heroes of Might and Magic 2 dragon looks good.

Infact, I think all Homm2 creatures look better then the ones on the newer versions.

But that is just my opinion.

That is an opinion shared by many, though I must admit to preferring many of the newer ones.

Don't get me wrong, some of the looks of the creatures in HOMM3 and some in HOMM5 are pure awesome, some, just some, look better then ones in HOMM2, but for the most part, I do think that HOMM2 has more of the better looking creatures in the game.

Well the two that I have in mind are the Titan and the Golem.

They actually look pretty cool, in my opinion, but most of the other's are not so good, like the Djinn, I do not like the look of that.

I agree with the majority here and go with the H2 dragon. They have nice detail and seem quite powerful.

I'll have to go with the H3 Red. The H2 version is just too bug-eyed.

As much as I love Heroes 2 graphics, I'd like to point out that MOST UPGRADES ARE JUST PALETTE SWAPS, including dragons. At least in Heroes 3 each upgrade have their own separate sprites!

Titan in H5 is best ever, especially when it gets hit by 1000 skeleton's arrows and responds with an expression similar to lifting one eyebrow.. like it's eyes are saying "are you kidding me?".

H2 one for me, it looked and felt more powerful.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.
