Map testers wanted (H3 map)

Unread postby Crusard » 23 Jan 2006, 18:09

I've been looking for testers for a new map I made for Heroes III RoE, for the contest carried out at torredemarfil.org. Anyone interested?

Just FYI it's not a great idea to include your email address like that, lest it become a spam dumpster. Better to break it up like this:

Yeah, I've heard about those things that look up for addresses. It's always been a myth for me. You never know, though ;|

It's a Singleplayer map. Though there's no real RPG maps in Heroes 3 :S

:lolu: You're funny. Try the Wren maps, or Your Brother's Letter (not sure of the name...). Or Hail to the King (what was that other Scrowe map?).

Here are even campaigns If you will count the WoG into the Heroes 3. And basically most of the best maps have RPG bottom. But that's different topic ;)

Well, you won't made the situation better as you copied his email address once again into your post, could you change it? I asked Kalah first but here was no action, he is sleeping perhaps?? Or it wasn't the one real challenge for him :D

Did you ever seen and AI fighting another AI and had been watching your ally (several times stronger then the oponnent) defeated and aimlessly wandering with no units left ? Perhaps I may recommend you one of my altered maps...

If I'm funny, you're just hilarious. That's Heroes IV you're talking about!

And about WoG, the campaigns there are indeed RPG, more or less (very few units, no armies, quests, etc). But that's just a mod of the original game :D

Nope. Wren maps were originally made for H3. I said Your Brothers Letter. And Hail to the king is awesome :D

If you say so Gaidal...
Ok the only one I found was Hail to the King. Could you please point me to the other two you say?

Hmm. I thought they'd be at maphaven, but couldn't find them there. If you want them, I should have some of them on my HD. Also, after Hail to the King, try Shar's War, which is a sequel of sorts.

Most of my maps were "RPG maps". (Oh and sorry about copying the address... glad it was fixed.)

How about using the CH Maptesting Matchmaker Service?

Well, that's no easy one; Nucleon is now on His second try at it... and it looks like a tird one will be needed. He's getting the hang of it, thought.

Well, as Robenhagen suggested me, I'll make this test more discreet, since it's for a map contest.

Well yeah, Orange can be a pretty tough opponent if you take too long. Maybe it should be weaker?

ps: I'm still looking for more testers! :D

While I have them all at my comp, I think only Your brother's letter is playable without some external files, which I don't have :(
YBL should also have some such files, but it isn't as necessary. If you want it, you have to google (or ask Chuckles were all the maps that used to be at H3trio are). YBL can be found here
