Windowed Mode

Unread postby Chai26 » 12 Jun 2007, 09:37

How to play Heroes 3 in windowed mode? I've tried the F4 button but it kept saying "the game is running in 65536 color mode, switch the desktop to this mode before playing the game."

You need to switch your desktop settings to 16bits color mode. Right click on desktop, choose properties, pick settings typ, swap to High Colors 16bits. And that's all my friends :D

Sometimes I'd like to play in windowed mode but I don't find it practical since it's hard to scroll around the map. I must use the minimap for that instead of the mouse. Anyone found a better way to play in that mode? It's usefull when there are other programs running or you want to know when someone talks to you via msn for example.

I learned to scroll the map. Alternatively you can use Ctrl+Arrows but it's uncomfortable. It doesn't seems being so hard to me. (Homm3)

Ok, maybe it's just a question of habit :)

Is it possible to make the window larger at will like any other window or only changing the parmeters in screen config?

Unfortunatelly it's not. The resolution 800x600 is fixed.

I've tried to search in my start menu:"Desktop"andfound a little icon named "Desktop". I then right-clicked it and choosed "Properties, but there were no settings. Please help me!
