I've also made this .zip file with H4 icons. From the readme:
This icon pack can be used to change the shortcut icon for Heroes of Might and Magic IV independently of any expansions installed.

There's one icon library (.icl) file containing all the icons for original Heroes IV, The Gathering Storm, Winds of War and Equilibris ('Complete.icl'), as well as individual libraries for each of them.
... which pretty much sums it up. This file is just 35 kB, and can be downloaded from here.
A cat is fine too...
