Troubleshooting Heroes III Campaigns

Unread postby BlueElf » 11 Jan 2006, 20:31

Help! I have just the basic Heroes III and have downloaded several of the campaigns from this site but they aren't showing up. I have put them with the rest of the maps and looked for them under the individual scenarious, but no dice. Is it because I don't have Armageddon's Blade, etc.?

Thanks for the assist!

There is always a description near the map that says if it does need any of the expansions. If the requirements are just RoE,it means that it needs just basic HIII.

But the ones that are just RoE are still not showing up anywhere. Is there something I need to do to make the campaigns show up?

Well, it could be like that if you don't have it patched enough. You may want to check your game's version out.

Hmm. I think there weren't such a thing as custom RoE campaigns. Are you sure it said it was a RoE campaign?

Also, check out the Custom Campaign in the Map Editor or Campaign Editor; then go to the "Map Properties". Be sure that the map has been named here because this is the name which will show up in the Scenario menu when you launch the game.

It was a RoE campaign, and it's properties are set up in a separate editor, including campaign name :)

Since he only has basic H3, there is no campaign editor available. Does basic H3 even have an option for "custom" from the campaign menu? I don't recall (I got AB the day it was released, and haven't see a basic H3 install in many years.)

Yes. (all this stuff is comming with AB)

Which site?

subnote: When you are in select map screen do you see the genius and what on the background? (I also long time don't see the pure H3 ;) )
