my vote is also h2,and agree with your comment,i miss the mummies too...h2 have the best necro lineup ever, slow with the strong units and good special abilities, just the way it should be...i really love h4 as a game, but all flying units except for skellies for necro was kinda strange for my taste.

Voted HII, but HV comes at a close second. Everything about the HII Necros was just perfect, the design, the music, the 'Blah!'.... Bt HV is cool too.

H5 sports a nice design but it's a bit too dark and the creature dwellings fade into the blackness. I vote HoMM II, though the HoMM III necropolis had the best music.

HIII really nails the whole dark look thing of necro for me, moreso than HII

this is also one of the very few times i was tempted to pick a HV town

Unfortunately, the links to those pictures don't show up and it's hard to see the thumbnail version. It looks pretty nice if you ask me though. I really would have liked to see nwc take on the artwork for this game.

Nope... and "homm5 nwc screenshots" didn't work very well. It's was pretty late at night though.

Voted H5.

It just has that sense of dark, vertical, mind-boggling Grandeur that the other towns just fail to reach. And I don't mind the fact that it's green, it's uniformity and harmony, even in its colours, just emphasize the absoluteness of its denizens' philosophy. The other towns just look like random buildings were heaped together because of it's builders limited toybox.

I'll go with H2. H3's is too drab, H4's is terrible, and H5's is too pointy. :)

Good ol' Heroes 2. The perpetual storm really added to the atmosphere.

This one was tougher as HV did look good, but as before I went with H3.

Voted Heroes V

This will probably be the only vote Heroes V gets from me … and even though I'm not a big fan of the Necropolis alignment, in the picture posted above, that is a really good rendition of a spooky type town.

This is what made it a tough call, I really would have liked to have seen the 3DO Necropolis as the drawing that Christain released showed a lot of promise.
