[H4]Favourite level 3 pair

Unread postby DaemianLucifer » 05 May 2006, 08:07

We haid levels one two and three. Now its time for level 3.So who do you like the most?

NOTE:other includes neutrals and creatures from creature portal(elementals).

A tough choice, since all of theese are excelent.I voted for genies though,as they are simply devastating.

I'll vote Crusader/Monk.
A good shooter and a double striker.
A cat is fine too...

I think genies are best, but nagas pull that pair down. The same with cyclops/ogre magi. If I had to go with a pair where I love both units - it would be vampire/venom spawn. Efreet/nightmares is close second.

I love genies, cyclops, monks and vampires but the ones they pair up with are slow and some of them weak and basically a bad investment so I chose Griffin/Unicorn because I like them both equally. They have raw power and none of them are a disappointment in battle :-D

Venom Spawn/Vampire is a pretty lethal combination, and so I'd have to vote for it..

All of those are excellent. The only one I might have excluded from the group could be the ogre magi, but with equilibris, even they became more useful, what with being able to cast bloodfrenzy, snake strike on your behemoths or thunderbirds, and debilitating enemy spell casters. I must admit I rarely choose them over the cyclops, though.

@Kitcat: Why do you think the naga pull the genies down? With equilibris, they are faster and in addition to no retaliation, they also possess a three headed attack - all in all, they're a very deadly unit. I will choose them an equal amount of times as the genies.

Unicorns and griffins - both good units. The griffins, in great numbers or with several buffs such as giant stregth/bless/bloodlust etc..., and with first strike, are practically unbeatable due to their unlimited retaliations special.

Even though some people say it's a no brainer, I'll choose the venom spawn as often as the vampire, because I appreciate having the only shooter of the Necropolis, and a strong one at that.

The crusader has also been made deadlier with equilibris.

With the chaos pair, I give a slight edge to the nightmare, though the efreeti are more maneuverable.

That said, I still have not decided what to vote for. :D

I obviously dont play with equilibris :) But I probably still wouldnt take them. Not too big fan of ground pounders.

Vote Efreet/Nightmare
I actually use both as opposed to the one-sided vampire/venom spawn.

I'm gonna go with the cyclops, since I probably won't be able to decide on just one choice definitely, and that pair is the only one without votes so far. I'm always thrilled when I get to build the cyclops dwelling, and especially at hard or impossible difficulty they provide a much needed boost to the barbarian.

Just as a reminder to anyone who might have forgotten: the 'other' category also includes the goblin knight which is the toughest L3 creature, and damn fast to boot!

Have to go with the genies/naga troops; while I don't use nagas a lot, the genies can do almost anything with their magical abilities (and I always favor the spell-caster armies).

Hmm, I wouldnt really care if I had venom spawns built or vampires. I think most people underestimate venom spawns. They are exellent unit. Their annoyance factor is as big as vampires' in my opinion.
