Ok I played a ROE map named free for all I think, after defeating a bunch of Firebirds I walked over this artifact The power of The Dragon Father. But instead I got this artifact Titans Thunder.
Effect: Hero gains the Titan's Thunder spell, which can be cast for 600 damage, costing no spell points. Also adds a spell book if the hero doesn't already have one.
So I was very happy for getting such a kick ass weapon that I decided to try and use it by placing it in my paper heros weapon slot, didnt work no gold square around the slot or any other, neither did it show up in my spellbook.
Oh! And since I havent collected any of the artifacts needed to merge into this beauty of a sword I cant reassemble the sword, then put the pieces back together then try to use it in my weapon slot.
So whats up? How can I use it???

Whoa, stop the presses! From the premises, this is weird...Orfinn wrote:Ok I played a ROE map named free for all I think, after defeating a bunch of Firebirds I walked over this artifact The power of The Dragon Father. But instead I got this artifact Titans Thunder.
This item, the Titan's Thunder, is a combination artefact, a Ab or SoD feature; It is made off the Titan's Gladius, The Sentinel's Shield, the Thunder Helmet and the Titan's Cuirass; You wont be able to equip it if your paper doll hero already packs something in its head, torso or hands; Strip it completely, place the Titan's Thunder in its right hand, then right-click it to dissasemble it -if that's your wish, of course. So I was very happy for getting such a kick ass weapon that I decided to try and use it by placing it in my paper heros weapon slot, didnt work no gold square around the slot or any other, neither did it show up in my spellbook.

That's an old bug- sometimes the adventure map icons of the artifacts are messed up.Orfinn wrote:Ok I played a ROE map named free for all I think, after defeating a bunch of Firebirds I walked over this artifact The power of The Dragon Father. But instead I got this artifact Titans Thunder.
As for your other problem, I think you've already been given the correct fix for it...
You don't want to make enemies in Nuclear Engineering. -- T. Pratchett
Re: Titans Thunder problemo
Each artifact has"reference number" assigned to it. Everything is fine with RoE artifacts, they always match the image. However, there were problems with the Vial of Dragon blood (IIRC) references. Armageddon blade and all SOD combo artifacts are in the artifact list (see map editor for example) below the Vial, and their adventure map image and true identity may be shifted by one in some cases. On your map, if it would have not shown Dragon father but titans thunder, you would have actually got the admirals hat.Orfinn wrote:Ok I played a ROE map named free for all I think, after defeating a bunch of Firebirds I walked over this artifact The power of The Dragon Father. Yes, I also think it can be a pain. But if gives a better overall boost (+6 to all) and in the hands of a might-oriented character it can be awesome.Nucleon wrote:You really think so? Nucleon always thought that the immunity to friendly spells was a pain in the basement...
But I think TT's bonus is pretty much useless. There are usually much better things to do with your turn than cast a 600 damage spell.
Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?
I agree. I`d like to mention here that heroes with 'resistance' speciality are quite powerfull. At some point (don`t remember but close to 30-40 lvl) you`ll have immunity to all HOSTILE spells while your spells will work normally.Nucleon wrote:You really think so? As for artifacts, I think that titan is better because it`s much easier to combine (unless you find already combined artifact).

That much is true. But there is also the fact that when one got the PDF, almost all of one's paper doll slots are used up; No more Boots of Speed, no more Cape of Velocity...wimfrits wrote:Yes, I also think it can be a pain. Best (or more precisely most unbalanced) combination artefact in Nucleon's opinion is the Armor of the Damned; Easy to get, devastating in effect... Unless one encounters a Water magic specialist, that is.
