RMG for Heroes 3

Unread postby chisel » 07 Mar 2006, 23:15

I can't find a button or checkbox (as Help says) for Random Map Generator on my Map Editor for Heroes 3 : Shadow of Death. Can someone please help me? It's fun making maps - but I don't like to do all the work if I want a X-LARGE map.

This was so much easier in Heroes 2.

Thanks

do you own AB also, the RMG was a AB feature and in not included with SoD unless you also have AB installed

you would like to check out some topics on the RMG.txt too, you know, there are templates (random maps are generated on the info placed in a file, that determines what type of maps you get)

a good place to start is www.toheroes.com

There's a patch available for downloading at Drachenwald:

http://www.drachenwald.net/goodies/files/blade.exe

It should make the RMG and Conflux available in SoD. I haven't tried it myself, though.

The instructions say:
1. Download patch
2. Run patch
3. Enter HIII directory

... finished.
