AN HoMM2 Map Archive?

Unread postby ByteBandit » 07 Oct 2009, 02:39

Seeing the popularity of the HoMM3 Archives, I've been contemplating making one for HoMM2. I leave the decision to you. I have 90% of maps from the Astral Wizard site plus a few others. Maybe around 600 maps give or take.

Does "Hell yeah!" qualify as "yes, please"?

I see no reason to vote against it... It's the same as putting up a poll "Would you like me to do free work for you or not?"
Though I don't really care since I don't play HoMM2 (yet).

So far the input seems to be "Yes." I was thinking about putting one up a while back. I've been keeping an eye on its popularity for a game as old as it is, and it still seems that it is. Be it for nostalgia or hard core players of the game itself.
I managed to keep most of the maps from A.W. when it existed. I never thought the site would go down, ever. But it did, and I was lucky enough to save what I downloaded, complete with documentation as well. An added bonus.
I still like the game, and I was wondering if it was just me. Good to see the positive feedback so far.

Since I just started it today, more maps will be added to be sure. There is nothing real fancy here yet, but the site will be improved.

Hell yeah

BTW, I did find a bunch of H2 maps at www.heroesofmightandmagic.com

Some of them are silly, though... especially the Gangsta-rap themed one

No. You're not dreaming. It's now a reality.

It's up as news on the main page. Tried to give it a funny touch, hope that's OK. :)

Oh yeah! I things it's entertaining! It's weird. Makes me look like I'm a "Somebody."
Thanks for posting the Archives, Kalah.
