Yes I heard that too.

You presented your BA? Your very own made BA?

First proper football practice in 7 years, and after an hour or so, my achilles tendon snapped. It popped really loudly... feels now like someone tackled me from behind. :(

Going to the medics now. Hope it's a weeks-not-months thing...

What's up with womyn und ze shoe fetish?! It seems so unnatural to me... plus, none of us actually look at your shoes... even if we have a foot fetish (unless it's a shoe-foot fetish combo).

What for?
All humans do is to go to a place, bountiful of nature, and live there. Then the human multiplies and sucks all the wonders there. They move to the next. There is one thing that works the same way as that: a virus.

I spent last night in the hospital. Turns out it was a torn achilles tendon. Surgery this morning, and they wanted to keep me for another night, but I decided to go home.

I have to wear a cast for 6 weeks. There goes my summer holiday...

But did most of your plans for the summer involve any strenous activities, or just the usual electronics-based entertainment? :creative:

I'm glad I've never been much for sports; my body is solid and durable.

It really is strange; whenever I get it into my head that I'll be more active, and then start doing some proper sports, I get some sort of injury. It's as if my body wants me to stay indoors and play computer games...

I had of course planned to swim a lot and play football this summer, as well as kayaking, boating etc... Much of that now lies in tatters, although I shall probably arrange something to get a few cooling baths in the ocean.

The real shame is that I can't help out with the house. We had plans to replace the wooden planks on the terrace this year; I won't be able to help with that, nor anything else.

Seriously, I like working outdoors. Last year I helped build the shed for the firewood, and this year we've built a new wall in the front yard. This other thing I was waiting for with great anticipation; come on - ripping planks up from the terrace? Playing the Hulk and destroying things? Who doesn't love that? :)

(phew... I'm really high from all these painkillers...)

Look on the bright side. Your body wants you to stay indoors with a really hot nurse. :devious:
