JK Rowling plays HoMM V

Unread postby Darmani » 01 Jan 2009, 09:04

Well, maybe not, but I had to mention this.

The story "The Fountain of Fair Fortune" in Tales of Beedle the Bard has a character named Asha whose tears play a significant role.

I'd post the exact quote, but I don't know where I put the book.

Nothing strange:

From Wiki:

1. Asha - the Zoroastrian concept of "truth, order , life ,awesome"
2. Indian female name - "wish, desire, hope, expectation, prospect"

Asha is not the most original and unique name there is, you know. :P

For those who live under the illusion that there's anything original (at all) in HV, just a piece of advise: read more or keep quiet in a discussion about religious/mystic symbols if u don't wanna embarrass yourself. ;) The only thing "original" in the game is the dumb/ignorant way these symbols were mixed and attributed to some alignments, with little to almost insulting connection to the in-game meaning.

Don't tell me the Gargoyle isn't original... where have you seen any creature like that? :P

There's probably at least as much originality in H5 as in Rowlings books.

Actually, that's not a bad summation.

Fable 2's gargoyles look pretty much like an exact copy.. Only they don't move at all :P

Well see, that's the whole point. I think there even are real gargoyle statues like that, but nobody ever made them move in that shape like Nival did :P

nah, there might be plenty of weirdly shaped gargoyle statues, but none are as boxy as H5's.

Bad mushroom trip is a way more logical conclusion for your recollections...
