Something funny about what some names means in Polish language:

Playstation VITA

"witać" means "welcome", "greeting"; "[ktoś ciebie] wita" means that "[someone] is greeting [you]"

Nvidia CUDA

"cuda" is plural form from "cud" - "miracle"

Sony Entertainment Network (SEN)

"sen" is "a dream" or "a sleep". In this case "sleep" is more accurate.

And now cherry on the cake
SyFy

It's "plural" form from "syf" - "syphilis".
But it has also more "urban" meaning - its describes quality of something.
Basically it means something is as "good" as getting syphilis.
Now you maybe know why Sci-Fi channel is still than named in Poland. :D

^ Haha, nice one. I completely agree on Capcom cutscenes, lol. But I don't think Square Enix does the best custscenes either, even though i haven't played many Square Enix titles in my life.

And people are too harsh on Valve. You see, it's not about schedules or release dates, either. It's that they just can't count to three. :D

I bought FF8 based solely on it's intro cinematic... when it comes to quality of graphics only Blizz comes close, and they're nowhere near as good when it comes to atmosphere...

I still get the chills when i watch this, and in-game graphics are more detailed and higher rez nowadays: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q09quI356sQ (of course this was made by just Square, they merged with Enix later).

EDIT: Holy craps, someone posted all the cinematics to youtube, nice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zuc62lLk6kQ

From a technical standpoint they're very good, no doubt about that, but I think they're a little bit overdone. I don't know I guess it's not my cup of tea. I like Blizzard's "simpler" cutscenes better.

They're from Japan... frankly they're very restrained when you consider that...

And BTW FF8 came out a few months after Brood War, and it's cinematics looked way better... so they've been doing it way longer...

I still don't get why they made Spirits Within a SF with fantasy elements when the whole FF series is the other way around...

Blizzard does way better cutscenes than Square Enix.
Make you strong places to dwell and practice the evil of your arts. Build great monuments to stand through the ages and remind your followers of the task with which you have been charged. Use these halls of iniquity to perpetrate your schemes against the infestation that has taken the fields and lakes of this land from you, their rightful masters. Never forget the hatred that must finally overcome and consume mankind. Dwell in your dungeons and brood. - Sheltem the Dark

They both do good cutscenes, suitable to the games they make. "Best" is a matte of context.

Graphic-wise, no (D2 cinematics vs FF8, which came out earlier, although Blizz caught up with them around WC3, even if nothing they did compared to the cold fusion beer bit)... while the other stuff is too subjective...
