The Simpson's Collection

Unread postby Yurian Stonebow » 29 Mar 2010, 18:09

Yes, you're absolutely right there K. It's the Simpson's collection alright. :) At that point we had, I believe, only parts 1-5 and 8. This was the result of us trying to find various parts of the DVD series at a bargain price. Me and my wife aren't exactly millionaires, you see... Our childless married couple household is basicly living off on my salary and the national post corporation of Finland is quite cheap to pay its employees. Things have changed, however, somewhat for the better from that time (April 2009) and thus you'd now see parts 1-12 decorating our modest bedroom shelf. Yay.

Er, what does this mean? :|

Speaking of Finland, a friend of mine was supposed to have travelled there, but there is a certain volcano swearing into the skies which won't allow him fly from Brazil yet. Too bad, he's a football player and his team is just assembled - he's the one missing. ;|

Waves at Panda (aka my Tar baby)!

Found the photos of me as the Red Queen at the opening of Alice in Wonderland. (I help out with the promotions at the local theater)

Fun part is that 'Hatter' is an actor named Jerad. He's a professional Jack Sparrow impersonator from one of the Disney parks. The kid makes more money than I do! He desperately wanted Disney to let him do Hatter this year and bring back Jack next year. They said "No." Jerad had a wonderful time at the opening getting to do something different, even if he DID keep sliding into his Jack voice.

At the end of the Tea party, the little girls kept begging Hatter to do the dance. Poor dear can NOT dance! But he surprised everyone by doing a hand stand at the end. That made everyone cheer, so it was all good.

Big Sister! :smooch:

Loved the photos. Watched that movie last week. It was rather sweet - for me I liked it just as I liked Avatar. They had the same rating for my taste. Not wonderful movies, but enjoyable.

The names were the most complicated thing to understand. Bandersnatch I knew, but all the others sound so strange (worst were they being translated at the subs, which we couldn't read in time due its complexity or mixed meanings).

@Panda Tar

What I meant was that there are no children living with me and my wife as we have none and it is likely that things will stay that way, too. It's an odd combination of personal tragedy and a somewhat increased freedom to live life the way you always wanted to but without the responsibilities of being a parent.

Yurian, Stockholm and the Swedish sense of humour

Pictured here is yours truly in the Swedish capitol, Stockholm in January 2010. Those of you who understand Swedish probably find this to be a good joke. Just look at the sign. You can see a glimpse of the Royal Palace of Stockholm there on the backround, just above the bridge.

Pictured here is a rare photo of me smiling without being drunk. Ha ha ha!
Isn't that something? Well, anyway, this late autumn 2009 photo is to me a symbol of one of the best moments in my life. She's my very own therapist.

Define "smiling". :proud: Actually, the dog (which is a very cute, fluffy, hoho-boolilloo-one ;) ) is smiling more than you. :D

Going from one extreme to the other.... Here's me, the little old lady of the group, in my pirate outfit from last year.

Smiles for Panda Tar and legs to prove I'm not a mermaid for Koni.

(And No, I normally don't have any photos of me NOT in a costume.)
