I just grow tomatoes on my back porch.

Spinning your own yarn? That's pretty cool. Very few people still know how to do that.

I just have to watch out for the monster living in here. He likes yarn/wool so he'll probably try to attack it.
I guess next thing to learn is how to prep the wool, and dye it myself with kool-aid.
The colors you can get from kool-aid are wonderful:Image

LOL Now that ROCKS! Why buy expensive, hard to find wool dyes when the grocery sells it cheap.

It's a really nice eneving here in Malmö, Sweden, and I've got a picture to show it. The stick sticking up is the Turning Torso, and you can see it from pretty much everywhere here.

I got my new wool today, some purple/white/blue merino and some green/blue wendsleydale. I think those fibres are looooong since the sheep has crazy long wool.Pic to prove it

Most of the others are beautiful, blue or green. All are impressive. I just found that one strikingly unusual because of the dramatic fiery colors.

Charles XII is the monarch on the painting

Unread postby Yurian Stonebow » 13 Jun 2010, 10:02

Sorry about this late reply but yes, Charles XII it is. The very Swedish monarch who defeated first Denmark and Poland but then lost to the Russians. Did I mention that his crack elite army units were mostly Finnish? ;)

Looks more like those people in Dante's Divine Comedy, who have been turned into trees.

Reminds me that I know a nasty joke on that part of the Comedy. Which is certainly unsuitable here.

Yeppers. That's the one that kept popping up when I Googled "Sexy Panda". Somehow, I didn't think the padded hips would be much of a turn on.
