I used to play Heroes 5 and 3, but my computer broke and I'm not playing it by now. Don't know if I'd play more if I get another computer though.

My computer isn't working now either. So, I can't play any of them either, now. However, I do still play them when I can and am in the mood to.

I have my trips. I play H4, occasionally H5 lures me in with that gorgeous music. But it's mostly H4 and once I start I play every map I can find that I haven't played before :-D
But where else to find more new maps? I've got 'em all from CH...

Well I don't play heroes 4 so I don't know if any of these are "new"...but just on numbers there are twice as many as CH has...I bet some of them are duplicates though:

Playing H3 WoG and sometimes one of MM6-8. Also I played recently HoMM1, 2 and 4 and finished again MM9 (which wasn't easy task - bugs everywhere).
I tried severly times in last few months replay HV but it is simply boring for me - few turns end I ends this game. That doesn't happen in case of HoMM 1-4 (and I don't like HIV - but even this game have "one more turn" syndrome).

Still playing H3 (mainly WoG) sometimes. Hope one day I'll find the time to play around with H2 or H4 once more... H5 is rotting somewhere on the back of my shelf - I'd put it on ebay if I knew I can get sth for it, but I doubt it's worth the trouble. It's not all bad, but it did place (together with DMoMM) the M&M universe in a direction that's kinda putting a shadow over the whole series for me. So although the H3 icon rarely left my desktop in the past 8-9 years... I do tend to go for Civ or EE lately, rather than a M&M title.

I haven't played in a while for various reasons. One of which is my disappointment in the failure of Ubival to address imbalances in the game. I had expected a patch to come out for TOTE long ago. I'll probably fire it up again soon though.

Athlon 5600+ X2, GeForce8800, 4GB DDR II.... I don't think I need a new computer. Maybe the H5 fans should simply accept that for some of us the game just sucks. People have different tastes - we saw something in the old games which Ubi failed to preserve, so we are unfortunately stuck with the old ones... We're not very happy with the situation, but we are at least greatful to the map makers (and wog developers), who keep exloring the potential of the great game that H3 was, thus keeping it alive after so many years.

I play Heroes III on a regular basis. I would probably play I and II as well if I still had those discs. Never played IV and V. Heroes III never grow old, it seems. An hour or two of playing can add to colour to the greyest of days, and it always makes me feel good. Been playing it for 8 years at least, and I'm still going strong.

I had the time of my life playing MM6 years ago, EVERYONE should play it, at least try it out. What a great story and overall feeling. I played MM8 as well, but not as much. I used to watch some friends play MM7 back in the day, but never played it myself. However, if I manage to get the time I'll be going through MM6 again, for sure. I was/am a lousy player too, so that game was/is really longlived for me, hehe.

I'm not a gamer, so these games are what I play. I guess that says something about how special these games are.

I guess I'm a HoMM3 "devotee". Just tried to play an SoD campign, not going so well.

I also played all of the MM1 to 8 and I have 9m although I haven't played it. And I'm not ashamed to admit I haven't ever beat a single MM.

Zamloxis while I appreciate and understand your point (note that I included all of the might and magic games in my original question) I feel your response was very much uncalled for.

Panda Tar, SWST, and theLuckyDragon all said they have computers that can't run the newer game. Those were the three I counted. Maybe they'd even like to try it.

And Dark Messiah sucked.

I'm glad we agree on that. :)

For the rest, I do admit my disliking of H5 may be also caused by the fact that I've followed too close the development process before the release to not see how many missed opportunities there were of making H5 the game of the year. For every game feature you might label as "decent", I see what it could have been if the devs would have bothered to listen to our requests, rather apparently playing their oh so dear Warhammer. I guess if I wouldn't be aware of how much they screwed up, I might be more tolerant with what the game turned out to be.

Oh my laptop can run the game, though really slowly. I barely finished the first campaign, but that's just not enough for me to get an idea of the game, so it's as if I never actually played.
