The HC thread for the Infidels

Unread postby Lord Lakely » 18 Jul 2008, 09:02

Dearest members of CH,

As some of you know, I am a member of HC ( Heroes Community), the other Heroes Forum.

Now I saw people discussing about HC here, and to evade other off-topic talk about it, we can discuss it here

If you are a HC member what do you think of it ?
If you aren't, whhat would you like to know about it ?

If CH better than HC ?
Should we renounce CH/HC ?

What are the diffences ?

Discuss it here!
NO excuses to talk about HC in other threads :tonguehands:

Oh and before I forget it...

Please don't close this thread :beg:

Pfft... HC is inferior as they can't even take me for a day... "female cats".

This thread is an invitation for Borsuc to say "NAMUS", hmm? :devious:

Since you asked so nicely:

Namus! :D

now seriously, I have the impression there are a lot more active members on HC than CH ;|

I think this is ok.

Don't think this is quite right. For that, people are free to come and go or just visit the two forums if they must/need/want. :?

CH rocks, HC sucks. There's your subtle difference. ;)

I opened this place because a couple things bothered my at the HC, a long time ago. I still lurk at the HC and occasionally post a few messages.

Well, I'm an HC member (on HC I'm mvassilev), and I post a lot more there. Possibly because it has a bigger tradition of discussions (Other Side quote wars FTW!)

Are you really mvass or is this a joke made by someone?

I go there on occasion but its overall feel is not as friendly. The threads are harder to navigate. As an example of what I mean by this is their H-V forum has just over 900 threads but almost 50,000 posts. Here there are just over 2840 threads and about the same number of posts. They maintain fewer threads but more posts which means trying to see what’s been said can be daunting for a newbie. I did not register there because their avatar gallery is not organized at all. I could not find one I wanted after several pages of only 24 avatars at a time and just gave up. Sorry but I’m picky in which one I chose. None of this speaks to the overall quality of their site, for all I could determine its quality is fine. I liked the various game info sections; those are well organized and simple to find most answers one would want. Unfortunately their download section seems to be the old Maphaven archive, where CH maintains patches and I believe a larger map section. The mods here are oh so friendly too. :loll:

I enjoy both forums :)

But HC is a little "annoying" with the 20 post limit (and the fact that you can't upload a custom avatar from your machine, you have to ask Valeriy to upload it for you)

HC is fine, but has a lot of restrictions.
The Tavern, Volcanic Wastelands are cool places, and word games are not locked there if more than 5 at a time (actually word games there are deleted on page 2).

Still, I feel there are a lot more active members there, I don't know why though. There are some "traditions" in HC, like soups, peanut planters and all that... u get used to them after a while :baby:

It's all good, though I sorta prefer CH for its Might and Magic forum and the "veteran" members. I'm much more active at the Sanctum of Infidels though.

20 post limit SUCKS a lot, if you as me (boy, I can't wait to get that thrird QP)

Floodprotect is comes straight from HELL

but except those evil pranks,

I really like HC.

You simply can't compare it to Ch, both are so different.

And yet you opened a topic for their comparison.

I haven't ever posted at HC but I'm quite happy with CH. :)

I go through periods where I post more at one or the other. Overall this is my "home", but I think the serious-topic discussions over there tend to be more interesting. Although lately, every thread in the OSM has devolved into quote wars between two individuals. *cough* *cough* ;)
