If that's not it, I'll guess

Egg/s

If I'm right, I'm not sure if I'll be here until Monday. I know I'll be back by Monday, though. But I need to go. So, if you don't want to wait, someone else can have my turn.

I was kinda hoping for an explination about the Eggs. I didn't really sound like a joke to me.

Mmm…Arion Hunter, with the one bound being his daughter (Arabelle was her name IIRC)?

And @ ThunderTitan: Escaton asked three riddles, the answer to the third being ‘egg’. The riddles referred to the prisons of the Elemental Lords, which were more-or-less egg-shaped.

So the egg did come before the chicken! :D

So what was the riddle? And was one of the other answers bacon?

LOL, no bacon, sorry. ;) The riddles were:

Where does one serve to pay,
Is not free to leave,
But is free when one leaves?

Ans: Prison

What is there when
You enter a room,
And cannot be outside,
Though you leave the door open?

Ans: inside

And my personal favorite:

A moon colored box
meant to be opened from the inside
protects the sun colored
treasure of life.
What is it?

Ans: [strike]bacon[/strike] Egg

Cauri Blackthorne? Being promoted could count as a reward…

Cauri Blackthorne, or the elven pilgrims, where the answer I sought.

A wisper, faint as can be Refers to the Murmurwoods...
says "someone is bound" Bound as in "turned to stone"
find and let them free
and rewards shall be found
Mainly about the Dark Elf promotion, and for the rhyming to work.

It turned out better than I believed- I thought that someone was bound to guess it at at most the second try.

Good job Kareeah! I've never played MM8 so I was out of that one. Oh boy, now for one of Kareeah's riddles...we'll be puzzling over this one until March...

You forgot how many people need to be rescued or otherwise freed in MM8:

-Cauri Blackthorne
-Blazen Stormlance
-The four Elemental Lords
-Dyson Leyland (sp?)
-Arion’s daughter
-and potentially Redreaver’s heir

That’s only two weeks or so… :D

Here you go:

Sit me pretty on a shelf
Made as sturdy as my self
Name me or my ruby kin
All on a world in the Spinward Rim

MM7

Yes, but then I used "them", and only the elemental lords and the elven pilgrims are groups so...
Sit me pretty on a shelf
Made as sturdy as my self
Name me or my ruby kin
All on a world in the Spinward Rim

Could it be Gavin Magnus?

I think I've figured it out now... but I'm not sure if it would be fair of me to take another stab before Kareeah has confirmed that my earlier guess is wrong :D
