Yea, installing cards is really not difficult. It's a bit like legos, except that you need to read the manual before doing it ;)

For any card? Or they still have some left where the service is free?

I also assume that you need to brought your PC to them, then they install it and you're done.

Actually this service should be free, in past it was ..everywhere.

Yes, for any card, I would have to take my PC and leave it there for days/weeks and pay $50 (amusingly, one worker told me $60 and another told me $50 so they aren't even honest with their pricing).

I'm sure there are youtube videos showing how easy it is to install such things. I figured it out quite easily.

If I managed to do it 3-4 times, everyone can do it. :)
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

Usually but not always.

Sometimes there are situation that you need to rearrange other cards, or the cards is fitting quite tighthly.

Then you need to seat it.

And as a last some cards just love to dying in installation process, due to static electricity.

In all these cases if anything goes wrong, the shop will replace new card in no time™ on its own expense. Of course, they do return the old one as reclamation, so it doesn't cost them anything.

Also they are forced to check wattage on your psu.

So it's most hassle free solution. :)
