Yeah, every day. Except when I don't have time, or am lazy.

It's the reason why I bought myself a guitar a year ago.
You should do some checking in Youtube then for
Jeff Beck and
Steve Vai

Vai is probably the technically best electric guitarrist on this planet, but I prefer Jeff Beck who's not far behind, if at all, but imo more original, soulful and simply awesome.

If you haven't seen this here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idb2dUtTpuU

WATCH IT!

I especially like the great way Steve Vai, who's the devil's champion there, fucks up his play - brilliant.

For Beck's genius simply try this one:

You'll probably end with some tears in your eyes.

I like the Cranberries. Even if the singer sounds somewhat like an arara most of the times.

Yesterday I was listening to Sarah Brightman's Harem. Then, Sunset Wish's My Pace. A-ha and Erasure, I listened those when I went sleeping. :)

Nope. :D These are araras.

They have a highpitched squeak, more than parrots, although they can't learn as much words and phrases as the latter can.

Shakira also has that kind of voice, but in spite of myself, I don't like her songs. :) The Cranberries is an exception.

Apart of the fact I'm having my problem with labelling something as the best ever, I know you can't discuss taste, and if you think that's the best I won't argue.
For me, this guitar solo's appeal is only in the work of the sound technician (which will have been supervised by Dave himself, no doubt). I think that its merits are exclusively in how it sounds - the solo itself is rather plain and even a bit dull. Still, creating a memorable sound has its own merits - which is what PF and DG always stood for.

Lets see as usual mine is broad spectrum, but here we go. (add to my last list)

Charlie Daniels Band (think that guy can do about anything with a fiddle, wouldn't suppries me if he could make it 'talk').

Mozart, Bethoven, Boch, Chopan. (though I may have slaughtered their names).

Aerosmith, Run DMC, Jefferson Air Supply, Hewy Lewis (again pardon spelling), (run now, run far away, this list wont have them all but it is HUGE). Bangles, Cindy Lauper, Jewel, Mariah, Ricky Martin (I know I know shoot me now), Seal, Whitesnake, Poison, Eminem, Snoop Dogg (sometimes), Will Smith, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince (also Will Smith), Blondie, ok I will stop with these now cause there is just so many...havn't even touched on jazz, r&b, soul, *sighs*.
Warning, may cause confusion, blindness, raising of eybrows, and insanity. Image

Quite. :D Beethoven, Bach and Chopin - in that order. Or maybe it's not. I won't google for them.

Cindy Lauper reminds me of something I used to listen to years and years ago: Information Society and Modern Talking. I have found the "Louie" song - pretty nostalgic.

Well, I wanted to say, it is one of the best. Not for its complexity, but for the power and effect.

Here is one of my fave guitarist at a studio concert (acoustic) - I sent Scarlett a CD by this guy, and here he is promoting his latest album, "Antipop". The clip lasts about 12 minutes (three songs). And yes, I know he doesn't sing very well - but the solos kick some serious @ss...
