I'm just watching and listening to it now, on the youtube link I provided above (and here for good measure) and you just have to crank the volume and the bass right up!

thought that might be it .... :D

that's part of the reason I love the harder rock/heavy metal .... the guitar gets to have a solo voice and the boys really work it .... slash being the master and kirk hammett a king as well

just searching through some wiki stuff I hit upon a Rolling stone top 100 guitarists of all time .... slash couldn't crack the top 100???!!!! that's a f@#ked list for that alone!

and a song to add to that list, great listening and gets you rocking .... Thunderstruck - ACDC
All ACDC is awesome.

The ones I listed were actually the ones from the Bon Scott era which had a great Southern Rock influence. It's no coincidence that ACDC is extremely popular in the South US.

no doubt Bon Scott was a champion .... but Brian Johnson has definately done a great job since he's been in the chair

Wasn't Bon Scott the original singer?

there are some similarities, but that happens when people are really belting out some tunes, I think Bon's vocals were a little crisper than Brians, Brian has more grain in his voice IMO

Honestly, I have a feeling that if Bon Scott had lived on, they still would have had the breakthrough album that became Back in Black...

Also, who knows... if Scott had survived, Phil Rudd may not have left the band and we wouldn't have had to suffer with "Fly on the Wall" in 1985!

Think of how many awesome albums they could have created in the mid-to-late 80s!!

I would imagine quite a lot. How did Bon Scott die?

I believe "Death by Misadventure" is what was cited. He was brought to the hospital but pronounced DOA (dead on arrival).

Bon Scott was a true rock and roller known to consume heroic proportions of Bourbon and it is likely that he died from alcohol poisoning. There are some mysteries surrounding the death but that is common when all the "witnesses are either under-the-influence or trying to explain a heroes exit.

Brian Johnson was the front man for Geordie (a band in the UK) and was well known to ACDC and Bon Scott. I would assume that Brian was a friend otherwise he would likely not have been invited to try out.
