We're happy - Norway is in a group we don't only have a chance for seconds... we can win the group. The only thing is that we're in the group with few teams; that could be a weakness for us. We usually beat the weaker teams while we have problems with the better ones, so ending up in this group, with few weak teams, could be problematic.

There's something wrong with the thread title... it should say "The Real Football thread". FIX IT.

Well, Holland (or the Netherlands, whatever you like) is in a really weak group. Just a bunch of teams that play fysical soccer. Tall buffs with no skill :P. But we suck, the last matches is saw were really crap, i didn't even watched till the end (rare for me). So if we play like that, the might have a chance :D...

The english team has Rooney. The biggest soccer-moron ever. WAY to overrated...

It's a laugh to see England and Croatia in the same group in light of recent events.

From where I'm sitting it looks like Norway has one of the tougher groups. Most of the lightweight's in other groups are lighter weight.

Group 1 also looks unpredictable.

It's funny, because all the newspapers here in Sweden acts like it's the best group possible for us. To me it just kind of average- Portugal is very good, Denmark is also good (unless their streak of bad luck continues), the other teams are sort of the usual - nothing to really worry about, but you still need to be mindful of them so you don't lose important points.

that's the thing with qualifiers though, there are always those teams who should make it, yet there's always a few shocks in store, that's what makes it exciting

Actually he looked pretty good setting up Crouch's volley against Croatia the other day.

He also looked good setting up goals in the 2004 world cup...one of the few players to play well for England.

But yes, MLS in general sucks.

I don't think people who say American players suck have their heads screwed on correctly. Allow me to mention a few examples: Tim Howard. Kasey Keller. Brad Friedel. Cobi Jones. Eric Wynalda. Landon Donovan. Michael Bradley. Jonathan Spector. DeMarcus Beasley. Freddy Adu. Brian McBride. Jovan Kirovski. Joe-Max Moore. Thomas Dooley. Tab Ramos. Claudio Reyna. Alexi Lalas. Roy Wegerle. Frankie Hejduk. Eddie Lewis. The list goes on.
