I agree. Since salad should be composed of two or more components?

*sigh* I'm working on my chocolate truffles. I don't think it's going to turn out right. The ganache is in the fridge, but the butter seems to be separating out of it and pooling on the top.

Damn I would help you if I know. But I don't. At worst it will be truffle's mystery. ;)

If you don't put anything IN the potatoes... it's not a salad.
well then, add butter and salt once cooked .... :D

Sandi: :tonguehands:

I wish I knew someone who has made these before. My friend who 'turned me onto' truffles made them from a mix. That doesn't exactly count as he wouldn't know how to tell me what I'm doing wrong. As my husband said, if all else fails, we'll scoop the chocolate mixture into candy cups (little bitty papers like you use on cup cakes) and sprinkle with the crushed Oreos.

** I just spent and hour crushing an entire bag of Oreo cookies into crumbs. The truffle chocolate is bittersweet and has no sugar added. Therefore, it's NOT sweet. Hubby and I figured it would taste better if I rolled the finished truffles in powdered sugar - or the crushed cookies - instead of the cocoa powder the recipe called for. Silly us! We think candies should be SWEET!

I've seen some and at first I thought somebody is making meals for you. But I was wrong. It's you yourself who made your own meals. A very nice attitude for a guy. :)

the wine is good, not sure about the rest of it :) You do know that a habit of drinking alone is not a good one don't you? ;)

I'm gonna try to make chocolate truffles as well this x-mas, it don't seem TOO hard to make them after all. Gonna make them when my man is out of town i think otherwise he'll eat them all

250 g good chocolate 70%
1.5 dl un whipped whipped cream
2 tablespoons of honey
1 tablespoons butter
1 small pinch of salt
some kind of flavouring; mint, spirits, lemon etc ;)

Made those eggrolls yourself, or was it those frozen things that looks (and tastes) like stirfried flour wrapped around kebab stall waste?

Didn't make 'em myself, but they're not too bad. They're the ones we make at work.

Well if you actually make them at work, you know what's in them, I guess? Must be far better than those I mentioned.

I know what's in them, yes. Cabbage, ox meat, paprika, spices etc... I think that's about it.
