It's genuiely going in waves. The good side of it is, that slowdowns are short, mostly about ten minutes only.

Yup. It's kind of like commercial breaks on TV; gives us time to go out to the kitchen and make a sandwich.

For the last couple of weeks it's been bad. I have noticed double posts by others, and having it happen to me after hitting submit twice after a very long delay, I assume they are having the same problem. ;|

Damn. It's working ok for me, when I'm here. But yes - wave diagnosis.

Well I have high speed, and it's been so bad here today, that I am cutting back the time I spend here in hopes something will get done.

Well I have suffered with poor server performance all summer, and frankly I've had enough of it. I am going to minimize my presence while hoping that someone will fix this, which I hope, will be soon. I'll check back from time to time to see if things have improved, what I am I going to do with my free time?

Sorry for the troubles jeff. Always when I'm here is at least acceptable and yep I cannot fix it much. Looks like it's on the server side.

I have only two "bigger" improvements in sleev and zero time to apply.
(And I'm afraid that they will not work as they are.)

I agree sometimes it's a little slow, but not that much as to make me leave this forum

I cannot reproduce the problem. There are only minor slowdowns on my side. And Jeff, you are based in the US right? You should experience better speed than anyone else here normally.

I don't know if it's a "minor" slowdown, but sometimes I have to wait a minute before it proceeds further. Hmm, this happens in every day, but not very often.

I had that too, but it's probably a browser thing, since it happened on other sites too.

I'm sure that for me at least it's not a Browser thing, since HC NEVER has any slowdowns ;)

Nah I remember that last week HC was completely down, for about a five minutes. :devious:

Also it's no wonder that HC is more sleek, it's having theirs own hosting.

Please, I am not leaving the forum, just cutting back. It just gets frustrating waiting for long periods of time for a post to upload or a page to load. I enjoy the forum far too much to boycott it that is not my intention.
