it's not just anime though, think of movies such as Blade and the like, you see a group of japanese men in a club and the dancers are all in schoolgirl uniforms and look very young .... stereotyped much?

Anyone watch Avatar: The Last Airbender?! It's not really anime as it's made in the States (drawn in korea though), but it's pretty close.

Well... I have put many of those suggested here onto my Blockbuster Online queue, but to be perfectly honest, I've been otherwise occupied lately. :)

I don't think so, but series is rather huge. (And you must include the comics too.) The movie itself is ... shortened version of the comics master.

And as a cyberpunk manga I would say that is best on its own. Surely movie to recommend. :-D

I've just downloaded some called "APPLESEED", looks cool, hopefully the story will worth it... even though after "Fullmetal Alchemist" I don't think I'll find some anime in that role ;|

I love Ghost in a Shell.

Just finished Gunslinger Girl. The story was good. But it only had 13 episodes. And I want more.

@darknessfood: I LOVE that series! :)

In the end, it's just an endless cycle of fighting, talking, fighting...but I love it all the same...those fighting sequences are awesome! :D

One of the few animes i actually watched. The series was much better(and less comercial) than the OVAs. Still, i'm waiting for the 4th ova with the end.

I'm waiting for the next one as well, but I don't think it'll be the end. Have there been 3 or 4 dvds? I can't remember.
