Since the dining out thread got derailed and closed (those mushrooms will try and ruin the world - I swear!) I thought this would be a good place to wax lyrical about the greatness of fungi, or the benefits of "fast" food or even if you want to discuss your great recipes ....
so come on people!
Mushrooms are delicious

On Saturday my wife and I held a fancy dinner party for 8 people. Here was our menu:
Appetizer: Warm goat cheese toasts with walnuts and honey; assorted olives and nuts
First Course: Chilled zucchini cumin soup
Main Course: Coriander scented chicken, jicama and three pepper chipotle slaw, black been mango relish.
Dessert: Lemon cheesecake or Dark chocolate orange tart; with fresh fruit.
If anyone wants any of those recipes I'd be happy to provide them!

My tolerance level for wasabi is very low. I must have super sensitive sinuses or something, because the stuff just kills me. Chili peppers I can handle... but for some reason hot mustard just twangs the wrong nerves in my nose and mouth.

Depending on the species and how it's cooked, snakes can be quite tasty. Most has smooth-fibrous texture ranged from fish-like to chicken-like.icesensemadness wrote:

Large snakes like pythons are smoother than smaller, ground snakes like cobras. But I think the best are water snakes, with almost smoother-than- fish texture.
I think best way to cook it is to make it as a soup.
