Man, he's so wacko he deserves his own thread.

American culture is responsible for extremists (closest he ever got to a truthful statement?):
He goes on to mention September 11, accusing the New York City-based publisher of "spewing its pop culture sewage to the world's children" from near the former site of the World Trade Center. Calling depraved US pop culture a recruiting tool for extremists, Thompson asks, "What is America's rebuttal to the Islamic Fascist recruitment call? This counterclaim is the rebuttal, not just to these terrorists but to Take-Two."

Racial stereotypes indeed:
Thompson refers to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City as a "violence and sex simulation game" that perpetuates racial stereotypes, asking, "What else would one expect of Scottish sociopaths sipping their single malt Glenlivet in between brainstorming software programming sessions?"

And my fav:
When asked by GameSpot about these incongruities and others, Thompson replied "I'm sorry you can't figure these things out."

He's been doing it for years, so I doubt he will.

And if you are going to blame him, blame all the idiots who ask him to help people out because videogames affected their minds.

he generally provides his kind of help without being invited .... the PA bit with JT was the funniest IMO

This is the guy that gave Janet Reno a piece of paper with hand written check-boxes asking her to mark the one that shows her sexuality. The fact that anyone takes him seriously cracks me up and annoys me at the same time.

My respect for the woman increased after reading how she responded:
Thompson gave Reno a letter at a campaign event requesting that she check a box to indicate whether she was homosexual, bisexual, or heterosexual. Thompson said that Reno then put her hand on his shoulder and responded, “I’m only interested in virile men. That’s why I’m not attracted to you.” He filed a police report accusing her of battery for touching him.

Jack Thompson is only a buffoon, kindly entertaining us. :D
The demonization of video games is found throughout the major news corporations, which have been feeding their listeners/watchers absolute garbage for ages. There is no need to take Thompson seriously, the media is doing his work for him many times over.

C'mon, all any normal human being (which are pretty dumb already) needs to do to realize the media is full of it is see this guy get on the news... it's not the medias fault the audience is even dumber then that.
