Go to the main news site. In upper right corner you have links to forums, download etc. There is also a link called "about".

I didn't find the CH until after I bought Heroes 3 Complete and discovered that there WAS a map editor on it... because there were fan made maps included. For the life of me, I can't remember if I found the CH via a link on the game box or a Google search. Whatever, I've been here - off and on - ever since.
No one really knows that. The forum is ancient. When the first members arrived here ages ago, it was already very, very old.

Veldryn 15:15 And Vel found a dirty old jawbone of a walrus and put forth his hand, and took it, and in his unholy rage, he slew thirty four thousand men and children therewith.
Most probably. If it has Necrosorcerous Rex and other animals speaking, like snakes , it really must be old, just as old as Adam and Eva at least (when animals spoke and such ).Veldrynus wrote:No one really knows that. The forum is ancient.

Key Dates (Archive of News from StrategyPlanet)
October 26, 1997 (Angelspit posted updates mostly from Astral Wizard.)
February 13, 1999 (Belenus's Update)*
May 12, 1999 (the site counter was set on that day)
Your best bets for info on this are probably Angelspit, Kristo, Fnord and a few others.
A username of Belenus was on the site before Angelspit but I really don't know who that is... other than a reference that Belenus was from Black Lance: Psi Ops. Belenus did a lot of the updates in 1999.

I think it was Heroes III Unleashed on StrategyPlanet but one of them did which is I'm sure why the RT was on ForumPlanet. Celestial Heavens was on celestialheavens.webjump.com way back then I think...Belenus -
NEW LAYOUT!
Welcome to the new and improved HoMM3 Unleashed! I'll be working very hard these next few days trying to finish everything up. In the meantime, you can visit all the links in the About and Information pages, the first two links under the Heroes label, and the Castle, Dungeon, Fortress, and Tales of Erathia pages. This new layout is the final one for the site, ever. Hope you like it! =)

1999: Celestial Heavens was opened on a free host by Belenus, merged with another site, then moved to GameSpy's StrategyPlanet, and later on was left in hiatus.
March 2001: I contact Belenus to see if I could help with the site. After a while it's obvious he isn't interested in it anymore and just gives it to me. The HC becomes CH's forum in a partnership with Valeriy.
Late 2001: I open the first RT on ForumPlanet.
2005: CH leaves GameSpy, the RT stays on ForumPlanet for a few more months.
2006: The RT reopens here.
The news from Astral Wizard had been reposted in the StrategyPlanet news archives. I've been trying to have GameSpy export them for me (since I don't have the required permissions) but they're too busy for that...

AngelA has a big archive from AW. There's also a good record on the Wayback Machine.Angelspit wrote:

Before you criticize someone, first walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you'll be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes.
