Hmm. Interesting situation here. Corrrrrrrribus is indeed right, and since Orfinn and TT didn't make an explicit guess at the Dark Savant (whose origin I was uncovering during my easter holiday ;) ), I'll declare him the winner of the current round.

Oh, and for anyone wondering, he was the villain of the later Wizardry games.

They're quite similar to the MM games- partybased RPG's. They of course do some things in differing ways, but the experience is on the whole quite similar.
