No captain planet is not a video game hero btw. He is commonly seen on Cartoon Netwoork. I have to admit this was the last person I would ever think of associating with DL.

Facts about 'Captain Planet'. His known hench...I mean associates are. Quamy (if I don't spell these right oh well), Linka, Wheeler, Mhatey, Gi, Gaia and Soochi (soochi is a monkey). The first five have rings that give them the power over the elements. (Earth, Air, Fire, Heart, Water respectively) and when used together summons the Cap. (This was a favorite show of mine a long time ago so it is sad that I missed this). His most famous quote is "The power is yours."

We know who the Captain was and what he did, thank you ;)
The order was Earth, Fire, Air, Water and Heart, BTW.

Now guess!

No.

As a hint, I'll give you the long answer to Daemian's question "Is it the Bible?".

Short answer: No.
Long answer: Not exactly, but which one are we talking about?

First off, I think I broke the rules a bit and I only realized it now. I posted an expanded view before 3 persons were executed.

Hint 1: It's a version of the Bible.
Hint 2: [I'll give it if the next guess isn't right]

Gee, I hope it's not that difficult. I honestly thought it'd be moderately easy. :S
