A nice depth of snow! Sucks to drive in, but it looks so great!

I miss the snow...

Nothing special going on over here, unless you count the weird weather we've had lately....

A tropical storm in December! 8|

Then again, I fear this is just a sign of things to come.

I would love to see that happen one day in Australia but that's quite unlikely. Some areas of Australia and surviving the drought with melted snow but otherwise it's actually a fairly scarce thing down here. Only in the higher altitude areas.

It's about mid twenties again. I seriously don't think we are going to ever get anything higher than perhaps 33 degrees through February.

Yep good old unbalancing global warming. Although really it should be far hotter over here. According to analysts this has been one of the hottest Summers on record which I think is incorrect in our context, although i don't know if they were looking at it in Australia or worldwide.

I found Spring to be rather warm, but nothing that prompted use of the air conditioner. I recently went up to Canberra, or rather went down to Canberra and found it fairly hot and the property I was staying at was on top of a hill so it was very windy.

we get the wind in spades, we are on a hill too, and the easterly can be devastating!

Okay, I just heard on a local radio station I listen to, that top weather scientists around the world, all agreed that the average Earth temperature for 2008 will be below normal. And they further stated that it could drop below normal again next year according to weather patterns that are happening as I type this. So all you gloom and doomers can relax. Don't let the media persuade you otherwise. Warm up the Hummers, it's supposed to be cooler this year all over the world.

Maybe they were a bit confused on that radio station. If that is based on Scientists pettition to EU (international less or more) they just stated that EU restrictions which costs oh so much, will be having very little effect - on weather not on economic evidently.

In the south of Norway, all mountain passes have been shut after heavy snow, essentially cutting all road and rail connections between the west and the east of the country.
