Sad to say I have no idea what's going on. What do I do next? If this were a real CRPG I'd probably be waiting for something to happen...

Where did Stefan get his magic brooch? How did DaemianLucifer know the elf's name was Sunrunner? How did we know a dragon was in the cave?

In this order, both had activity the night before, will let them explain if they wish. DL has a friend who checked for him, and indeed there is a dragon. Now as to what has happened, you see the post and know as much as anybody now that i have explained here..so your call as to what your character is doing. Investigating the cave, outside, or what :)....

Edit: and you can always ask DL and Stefan how/what they know!

Well, thats the beauty of PM.If you want to know how we did something, you ask us.

And remember,if you ask us on PM,that would mean you came close and whispered,so the rest have no idea what we said.If you ask here, its all public.

Oh, as far as i can tell in v3 you get to chose your own prohibited school, so all you Specialist Wizards better get going.

And what's the deal with feats?! Being Human and a Monk i have to chose 3 at lvl 1. (One is a Bonus feat, and i'll take Stunning Fist).

Actually you have to choose 2 prohibited schools, and so I did.And I think the monk bonus one is just the one from the monk class, but yes,you do get many feats.

Yup, Stuning Fist or Improved Grapple. I also get one for being Human and one you get for free in the beggining.

I think I'd rather not ask by PM and ask Mytical straight: can you give examples of what I can do? Like, examples of what DaemianLucifer and Stefan might have done but did not reveal (or what I could have done).

Since mistys asleep, let me satisfy your curiosity:You couldve done anything you could in real life.Walk outside, get drunk, even miss on the tournament and not end up trapped with the rest  Rob someone, get into a fight, even get yourself killed.Seduce someone, take him to bed.Or just meditate the whole time.Remember, you are your character,so do whatever you wish.Suicide rush, mugging in broad daylight, swimming in tar, watching a combat in which your mates are being slaughtered in and do nothing,.....

Alright, I do think useful information (like what the elf's name was) should be divulged to everyone though...

Okay. I've spent the last few hours coming up with some background for my character. Where should I post this?

EDIT: It's about a page and a half in Word

The elfs name is Sunrunner, and she really stands out. After all she is a full elf with red hair. No full elf has had red hair to most peoples knowledge. That is usually a human hair color.

Zarvyx’s History:

Zarvyx worked as a docks man, at a young age, in a small area “owned”(more controlled) by pirates. Few pirates ever showed up there. And when they did, it was a very quick stop. Zarvyx thought they were the coolest people ever, and dreamed of becoming one. Maybe, even, one of the best.

One night, while wandering through the bar in the area, during one of the pirates’ visits, he was stopped by one of the men. The man looked him up and down and then said, “Aye. I thin’ ye have wha’ it take ta be a fine pirat!” He looks to one of the other pirates, motioning him for something. Zarvyx hadn’t a clue what. The man looks back at him. “Now, I’ve been watching ya and yer…um… interest in us. I’ve an offer fer ya.” The pirate he motioned over comes to them with a fine blade in hand. It’s a standard-sized scimitar. The man takes the weapon in hand and then returns his attention to Zarvyx, who is looking upon the blade with great interest. “Now, ye take this, here, scimitar, and learn how ta use it, and maybe, one day, ye’ll be worthy of joinin’ us.” Zarvyx looks upon the weapon, amazed. The man sees this, and grins, placing it in his hands. “So,” After this word, one of the pirates that were outside comes running in. “Captain! We need to leave! Now!” he shouts. The man rises and yells, “Alright, men! Let’s go!” All the pirates get ready to leave, most grabbing a quick swig of beer before they go. Zarvyx just stands in place, staring at the weapon. There’s a lot of commotion outside, but this doesn’t matter to him. He now has both a weapon and an offer.

After a while, he comes out of this trance, and goes outside. Not much difference in what the place looked like before and what it looked like after he was in the bar, but there’s a few dead peasants lying about. This is not the first time this has happened, so he knew what had happened. An overly zealous priest rallied yet another mob of peasants to drive the pirates out of the area. Zarvyx really hated this man. And he hated the people who followed him. But, he didn’t complain. He knew he’d get into trouble if he did.

The following day he sought out someone to train him in the art of using his new weapon. Someone who would teach him for free. It took him a few weeks to find someone. He had to leave his hometown, traveling a good distance, to find her. She was a retired half-elf fighter, now working on a farm, tens of miles from where he lived. She offered to teach him to use his weapon and a spare room and food, if he worked with her on the farm, which he had no real interest in. He accepted, however, having little choice, other than to either give up and go home, or continue on, in hopes of finding someone else.

As time passed, his training became more and more difficult. And completing his work on the farm was getting tougher as a result. Though, he hardly ever left his work unfinished. When he did, it was because he fell asleep while working. During this period of time he had little to moderate respect for her.

After a few years, she realized he was having some slight difficulty in the training exercises. She quickly realized what it was. Before, he was using the weapon as a two-handed weapon, since he was smaller. Now, he has to use it single-handedly. So, she, the next day, left with her favored horse. All she told him was that there was no lesson for a number of days, and he should tend the farm until she returned.

By this time, he was used the farming, but he still didn’t much care for this decision, since there was to be no training. No lessons to help improve himself. Days passed, she returned. It was early morning when she arrived. She waited for morning, sitting in a chair, outside the back door, holding the weapon in her lap. When daylight came, Zarvyx arose and got ready for farming. He had his usual breakfast and headed out. “I’ve got something you might want, Zarvyx,” she says as he passes her. Quite startled by this, he reaches for his scimitar, and draws it, swinging it at her, but she jumps up blocks it with ease. “Nice, Zarvyx, but it your form needs to be better,” she says with a smile. Zarvyx lowers his weapon. “Yeah, I suppose it could. And it would’ve improved too, even slightly, if you hadn’t left me to tend this farm and train myself, Kryla!” Zarvyx responds, with a not so pleasant tone. Kryla just walks past him, still smiling, but not as much. “Yeah. I suppose you’re right. But then I couldn’t have got this for you.” She turns around and presents the falchion to him as a gift. Zarvyx looks at the weapon, drops the scimitar, and then takes the falchion in hand. Kryla stares at the weapon. “It was my mother’s. She loved the shape and how it handled.” Kryla pauses, and then continues. “I seen that you were having trouble with that scimitar, using it with only one hand, so I got you this. They’re similar, but, as you can see, this is a two-handed weapon.” She pauses for a few seconds. “…Just don’t you dare lose it! I know it’s not all that powerful a weapon, but it was my mother’s! If you ever find that you don’t need it anymore, you had best return it to me!” She grins now. “Okay! Back to training!”

They start their usual days of training and work back up again. Zarvyx has more respect for her now. And the training goes up until the tournament. He uses the falchion for training, but he still keeps the scimitar in his room, on a wall.

The era is like Midevil times, only with fantastic creatures and magic. No dinosaurs, but dragons. And creatures that make dinos look like bunny rabbits. Like giant purple worms that come from under the ground, or huge floating eyeballs that can disentagrate you with a glance...

Or dragons..one of the most feared (for good reason) creatures there are. Oh and in my game dont expect to see any single knight riding to slay any dragons. It takes dozens to hundreds of well trained, well armored, and magic ridden to even stand a chance. After all they are the dirrect children of the gods...nothing to take lightly. There are a few creatures that can give them a rough time, but very few and far between.

Good Dragons : Gold, Silver, Bronze

Neutral dragons (sort of) : Brass, Copper, Green, Blue

Evil dragons: Red, Black, White.

brass and copper lean a little to good, green blue a little to evil.
