How did you start
I was just wondering how the people here found out and joined the community of CH.
I joined CH a year ago. Though i didn't even know what exactly CH was then. I was only searching the web for Heroes IV maps and found a site, Celestial Heavens. So i went to look, found some maps, and picked one, Robenhagen's Sorcerer King (wonderfull map). But in order to download it, i needed to register on the site, so i did. I didn't come back long time since then. After some time i heard about the new Heores V and wanted some info, and remembered CH...

Knew about the site from long ago. Before H4 even. Posted once on the old board around 2002. Came back to find out about H5 shortly before the forum moved. Sunt o pacoste de atunci.

I came to the old forum a little over four years ago, having caught on to the game after Ethric loaned me his copy (we were neighbours back then). I saw he was browsing the board and went in myself to see what it was about. So it's really him you have to thank/spank for my coming here in the first place...

I was searching the web for maps too and found this site. I must admit I started writing here because I thought the whole post count ranking thing was fun and because I was so surpised with how friendly people are here Less nagging more fun

I found CH a long time ago... Then some time passed without me visiting, and then I found the site again. This time I also joined the old RT and started talking here and there, getting to know the people and the atmosphere. I liked it very much.
When the Round Table moved, I was at exactly 200 posts (VIPdom in the old days...), but then I flew over here and started enjoying the wonderful community. Sometimes I even helped design some parts of the site, an activity which I enjoyed very much

Back in 2004 I found THRT and CH while I was searching for guides and maps to H4. Since the round table seemed to be a nice and cozy place I joined the gang and have since mostly enjoyed my stay here

I found the Round Table about four years ago by downloading Heroes III maps from CH. That was around the time Heroes 4 was released. At first, I was a regular at the 3DO forums until they went away. Then, looking for a new home, I remembered the Round Table and it was really great finding out that mostly everyone shared the same love for the Heroes games (as well as the Might & Magic games). So here I am. The Round Table is my favorite forum for HoMM and M&M.
I had been hanging around AstralWizard since the beginning, but after Phil retired the site I went looking for a new home. CH had the two things I wanted most -- excellent news coverage and intelligent discussions.
Before you criticize someone, first walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you'll be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes.
Back when I ran The Strategist's Corner, one of my featured links was to Celestial Heavens Unleashed, the predecessor to today's CH. When Angelspit took over that site, he contacted me about using the map collection I'd gathered over the years. Soon after that, Real Life got in the way of keeping my own website updated, so I just let it fall away and became a more-or-less full timer over here.

I can't even remember how I got here- as far as I know, I'm the one that signed up earliest that's still active (well, apart from Angelspit) . Wasn't very active in the beginning though, mostly on the WoG boards when WoG was still new.

I registered at the old board on 7/28/2002, though i only posted a handful of times prior to 2004. Drifted over after the Quill became essentially a nonentity.
