At least the US cards were simply "roughness" cards. Italy's was one of malice. Typical, if you ask me..

I still recall sometime in the latter half of the '90 when one italian player has over a meter away from Hagi and fell down and got a free kick. It's how they play the game. Something along the lines of "either you or him must fall down".

Wow that match was painful to watch. I'm glad we got the much-needed point, but geez. This kind of football is just not our game.

I wouldn't be surprised if the suspension is longer. I think it was the last World Cup where one of the judgets went mad and started handing out cards (even red ones) for things that should just have been a free kick. I expected the players who got them to only have to have a 1 game suspension, but they all got at least two. :disagree:

yep .... but australia are ranked 42 vs 18th ranked japan, whereas tunisia is ranked 21 vs the spanish 5th

im not really sure what all that means, but i started to write it, so there it is
