I still recall sometime in the latter half of the '90 when one italian player has over a meter away from Hagi and fell down and got a free kick. It's how they play the game. Something along the lines of "either you or him must fall down".

I wouldn't be surprised if the suspension is longer. I think it was the last World Cup where one of the judgets went mad and started handing out cards (even red ones) for things that should just have been a free kick.
