How would that have happened? If Zidane would not have responded, Matterazi words would not have got any attention. Nobody besides the two persons heard the words, and while Zidane would have felt bad, Marco would have had no problems with his behaviour whatsoever.

Indeed.But he could at least wait until the game ends in order to get his revenge.This way he cost his country the trophy.
