The rules state that a player can ask for a safe letter after each hanging, not that they must ask for it. The rules don't specify that it's forbidden for the current executioner to automatically award safe letters after each hanging.

But we agreed that safe letters are granted after the hanging,not after the incorect guess.So Stefan should be hanged as well,and 2 safe letters.

I don't see that anywhere in the rules.

It seems you dissociate the incorrect guess from the process of hanging the guesser (i.e. me actually writing he got hanged). I never made that separation: if a letter is incorrect and there are no safe letters left, the person is automatically hanged from that moment on and all I have to do is state that fact when I finally post the new situation. No one complained, although I've always applied the rules as I did now.

Me neither, but that I always understood it the same way as Daemian.
