As concepts they're as distinct as knife and knife wound...

Yes, and bless is a verb while blessing is a noun altogether. The meaning of knife is the same for both cases, even if context adds some flavor.
Anyway, i refuse to accept such combinations.

That's why i used the word concept, and not something with grammar in it...

And that's why i used an example where you can take out the word knife in the second one and the concept remains the same... wound.

Seems to me, that there is one rule that makes problems and has led to discussions in each previous round: the rule 7, but the reason for this troubles in the most cases is rule 7 combined with the +5 bonus rule. So a player always strives to risk this "tightrope act" for the bonus.
So I think it was better to cut off this +5 bonus for good...

I hope you all agree to a compromise that for this Caladont 5.0 the bonus for using a whole word is eliminated. That means that ThunderTitan gets only the 5 points for the the 5 letters in his "lyssaviruses". Also Gnom's bonus is taken away.

Words used:
encounter, countered, redone, oneiric, rickshaw, shawled, lederhosen, seniority, typical, picalilli, lilliputian, angry, gryse, septum, tumble, umbles, bless, blessing, singers, erstwhile, ileum, eumycotic, ticking, kingdom, dome, domestic, domesticated, tedder, dermotology, gyroscope, scopes, copesetic, ticket, ketchup, update, dates, testicle, cleats, tsar, sarcoma, comal, malepropism, pismeres, rescissory, oryxes, especially, lyssa, lyssaviruses, sessile, silent, lenticel, iceless, lessons, sonship, shipper

TT :hoo: :hoo:

The updated score now is:

Koni 33+4 = 37
Kalah 31+4 = 35
ThunderT (26-5) 21+4 = 25
GreatEm 19+4 = 23
jeff 14+4 = 18
Avonu 17
Pitsu 10+3 = 13
ShadowL 3
Gnom (6-5) 1

shipper
