So what type are you then

Been playing TES: Oblivion a lot last days, and once again I'm a sinister mage\thief type. I always go for those in rpg-games, and in Morrowind and oblivion (only TES games I've played) you have a lot of freedom to customise your character. Currently in Oblivion I'm a vampire dark elf custom class relying on stealth and illusion\destruction magic. Pretty much the same in Morrowind, and as close as I can get in other rpg-games; as sinister an assassin with some support-wizardry as I can get.

So anyone else who play a lot of rpg-games noticed a pattern in what you play?

Ranger/Druid, basically the nature class. I have always liked animals, and therefore pick those classes due to their alignment with animals. Although it is fun to play as a Sauron-esque character from time to time...

I'm always the goody-goody paladin with a specialty in healing/recovery spells. Go figure.

Always a Fighter and either an elf or human. I liek the idea of going out and being able to use any weapon I want with ease. I would love to be someone who was able to swing a sword like the best of 'em.

I'm a NPC :proud:

Nah... I'll discover it in 12 hours when I get my hands on the game.

I chose the standard mage class and High Elf for my race. My next character will probably be a thief.

I'll either be a ranger or paladin type, if it's still possibil it'll be custom made.

Funny how different paths people choose in games, as I'm sure we could get along just fine in real life :)

In real life, probably. Sadly, if I met you in a game my high principles would probably demand that you end up skewered on the end of my sword. :D

I haven’t played Oblivion, but generally when I play any sort of RPG I’m a mage of one kind or another. For some reason the idea of flying, teleporting and flinging around lightening bolts appeals to me. :D If for some reason I couldn’t be a mage I’d probably be an archer—ranged attacks are generally positive, unless it’s a game where the bow is significantly harder to use than the sword.

I'd hear your clanking armour and loud principles a mile away and either be long gone or waiting in a dark corner :devious:

Normaly I prefer Warlock type spellcasters. There's nothing like incinerating/shocking/freezing/smashing your oponents from a distance. After that a nice Barbarian type fighter, bashing people's heads in.

I usually play a ranged bow-using character, though I tend to play characters with at least some magic capability. Pure fighters tend to get a bit too bland and boring.

I'm one of those knights who stand in the middle of the battlefield and shout with the sword held hight "FOR KINGDOM, FOR JUSTICE!!!". Oh, yes...I love Paladins, the fighters of the Order, and the Chaos shall be destroied...

Hehe, I always get bored with melee-clashing based characters.

(moved this thread to the campfire)

Riiight, seems to be a problem with smileys, I can't type the word "b0red" without getting bored. Daft.

Range is of the essence.Ussually a mage, but archers and thieves suit me well.I tend to play unique characters.A good necromancer, for example.Or a twisted druid elf(not a drow).I also tried a few paladines. But I never could play a chaotic character.Mostly Im neutral.
